The Olde Hickory Station right across the street opens for breakfast at 7am.
And the Olde Hickory Tap Room (across the tracks) will open at 10am with a lunch menu!

There are several banks with atms within 2 blocks of the brewery, don't forget to stop by one if you need cash.

Omega Point - the beer that fans were beginning to believe a myth. Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels for as long as 7 years with the vintages then blended together by our master brewer Steven Lyerly.

Sat. March 7th, 2015. Olde Hickory Brewery (2 Third Street SW, Hickory, 28602)

Please note this is a cash only sale. And everyone, and we mean everyone, will have their ID checked. So don't forget to bring it.

Omega Point

Doors will open at 9am. The Olde Hickory Station restaurant is within sight of the brewery and opens at 7am for breakfast. A great place to start the day if you need to recover from the night before (see below) or head over for lunch after the release. Line will form in the brewery parking lot. First come, first serve, with a maximum of 12 bottles per person. The 22oz bottles will be $20 each. You'll also have the option to purchase an Omega Point glass (while supplies last)!

And what awesome brewery release would be complete without an equally amazing gathering the night before? So the brewery will be hosting a reception the night before (the 6th) from 6-9pm. Check out the barrels, our new tanks, and the rest and have a great time! The Olde Hickory Station, with its 50 tap bar, and the Olde Hickory Tap Room are within easy walking distance of the brewery for further jollity that evening. And if you are (wisely) staying in a hotel we'll be running a free bus service in a loop from downtown to a group of hotels off of I-40 exit 125, from 5pm until midnight Friday night.

Here is a link to a Google map with the trolley/shuttle area marked in black and hotel stops marked with red point markers. Only the red points are stops. Clicking on the markers should bring up hotel info including contacts.

Also, since this is a cash only sale, we'll post a list of banks with ATMs within easy walking distance of the brewery as well. Just in case you forget the night before!

More info and additional details will be posted as they are confirmed. If you still have questions email us at Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you on March 7th!

Greetings from Olde Hickory Brewery, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Hickory, North Carolina.

Beginning in 1994 with a 7 barrel converted dairy system, we set and accomplished the goal of providing the unique traditional ales & lagers available through OHB. Quickly we outgrew that system and today we operate a 25-barrel Price Schonstrom brew house...

In 1997, OHB began the renovation of an 1880 Historic Landmark building in downtown Hickory, which now houses our brewing facilities.

fermetersGreat beer is the result of meticulous attention to detail throughout the brewing process. Our beers begin their life as fresh water that flows from the granite slopes of the Blue Ridge and culminate in small batches less than 800 gallons each.

Our beers are and have always been, brewed using only select grains, robust hops and cultured yeast, with no additives or preservatives.

These basic ingredients are added with time, passion and the undying thirst for knowledge to produce our variety of quality brews that we're sure you'll enjoy!
