Y U No Post?!?

Tired of waiting for blog posts here? Inspiration is fleeting and time... It's probably better spent brewing beer than writting writing posts. But we're all over the internet leaving crumbs of news (some little, some big) and general info for you guys.

We've been on Facebook (www.facebook.com/OldeHickoryBrewery) and Twitter (we're @OldeHickory or go to www.twitter.com/OldeHickory)for awhile. But you may not know we recently joined Google+ and are now on Pinterest as well. Just search for "Olde Hickory Brewery" on either of those sites and you're sure to find us.

And of course you can find a lot of user generated content about us and our beers on various sites like, (In no particular order! These are just a few sites! Lots of excellent sites out there!) untappd.com, beeradvocate.com, ratebeer.com.

Thanks again for all your support and interest in Olde Hickory and our beers!

Beer Festivals

beers

It's here- Beer Festival Season. That delightful time between late-April and mid-October when festivals featuring beer are held nearly every weekend. While we can't participate in all of them (sadness!) we do our best to join those held in our distribution area; to support the NC beer industry and our loyal customers! We're already confirmed for the following festivals (sorry if I've missed any while typing this!), and we might very well add more...

Cheers!

Coming Soon - Orion

Orion, our saison brewed with rye, should be ready for release in the near future. It was another experiment and, like Saison Gee, it'll be a limited release. There should be about 1000 bottles (750ml) going out and a few kegs.

The insanity!

6/29/2012 Update Join us for the B's Nuts release party at Hops & Vines in Asheville, NC on July 6th, 4-7pm.

Maybe not insane per se, but still way more interesting than the average work day. Brian Pesci, winner of the 3rd Annual Olde Hickory Pro Am was at the brewery earlier this week helping us brew his winning entry - B's Nuts. The recipe starts off as a classic English Brown Ale, but takes a turn with the addition of tons of pecans. It'll be a limited release, but it will be bottled. So if you like it, be sure to let us know!

And if you've never met Brian, this should give you an idea about what brew day was like....
