Special Seasonal Brew |
To keep things exciting we are always coming up with a new beer to offer our patrons. These are our Seasonal Beers. All of our Seasonal Beers are made with the freshest and finest ingredients, and like all of our fine ales, they have the character only Hand-Crafted Ales can provide. Our Seasonal Brews are made only once a year, and in very limited quantities so they are always changing. Please ask your server for a description of what is currently being served. And if you find it is your favorite, you might want to have a couple, for it won't be around long! But, it will return in about a year!

Crawdad Red Ale |
This is our traditional Red Ale. Crawdad Red Ale is a deep Ruby Red. It has a slight sweetness paired with a very nice hoppy spice. Crawdad Red Ale is a perfect choice for those of you who wish to have a very smooth brew to accompany your meal or just to wet the whistle.

Table Rock Pale Ale |
The Olde Hickory Brewery is proud to present
its Table Rock Pale Ale. Table Rock Pale Ale is
our hand-crafted India Pale Ale made with only
the freshest and best quality ingredients. This
beer is highly hopped and slightly more
alcoholic than a traditional Pale Ale. We hope
you will enjoy this full bodied Pale Ale.

Brown Mountain Light |
For those of you who have a taste of
the different, non-traditional, nonconforming,
we offer you our Brown Mountain Light. This is our American Wheat Beer. A marriage of wheat and barley malts provides a unique taste for both the wheat beer and pale ale lover alike. Our Brown Mountain Light has a slight malty sweetness followed by the crisp, clean, refreshing taste only a wheat beer can provide.

Hickory Stick Stout |
Hickory Stick Stout is our Imperial Stout. It is very dry, very crisp, very hoppy and has a wonderful coffee finish. It is very
different from traditional cream or dry stouts.
Just one taste and you will know why the Czars
of old had this beer specialty brewed for their court. For real beer drinkers, this should be your choice!

Cask Conditioned Ale |
Here at OHB we are proud to offer something
you can get nowhere else around town, or in NC
for that matter. Our Cask-Conditioned Ale,
served off a real British Beer Engine, the way
it was meant to be, Real Ale.
So what is a Cask-Conditioned Ale? What is
a British Beer Engine? Cask Conditioning is the
process of Naturally Carbonating the beer. The
beer is allowed to complete its fermentation in
sealed casks, resulting in a very fine and
subtle carbonation. A British Beer Engine is a
method of serving the beer. Beer Engines date
back before the turn of the century, much
before common pressure delivery tap systems.
The beer is really drawn from the cask into the
glass, resulting in a true "Draught of
Ale." This results in a much smoother,
more tasty ale, the way it is in Merry Olde England. Please ask your server for a complete description of the Cask Ale currently being served.

Nut Brown Ale |
Our Nut Brown Ale is a lightly-hopped, sweet, full-bodied brew with a strong malt flavor. We hope you enjoy this special ale.
|
|
Cream Stout |
Our Cream Stout is smoother and not quite as hopped as our Imperial Stout. Using Nitrogen instead of CO2 gives this stout its unique creamy head.
